What does access point location mean for UPS? ›

A UPS Access Point® is a local business that acts as a secure pickup and drop-off location for UPS packages. These UPS-affiliated businesses include grocery stores, gas stations, and other retailers. The location itself is a touchscreen kiosk inside the business accompanied by a stand of secure lockers.

UPS Access Point® lockers help you get a fast and secure pickup and drop-off on your schedule. Most of our self-service lockers are easily accessible 24 hours a day.

UPS handles delivery from supplier to elected UPS Access Point. Provide proof of identity to collect your parcel. Notification sent and your parcel awaits to be collected at a time convenient to you. If necessary to return an item, you may drop a labelled pre-paid UPS Return parcel into any UPS Access Point.

In order to collect your parcel from a UPS Access Point location, bring your government-issued photo ID and your tracking number. If someone else is picking it up for you, they should provide the InfoNotice or release form.

Can you hold my packages while I'm away? Yes, if you're a UPS My Choice member, The UPS Store and other UPS Access Point locations can hold your package for up to seven calendar days at no additional charge. UPS Customer Centres can hold your package for up to five business days.

This is a 1-2 day service. Most parcels take just 1 working day to be delivered. Each UPS Access Point™ has a daily collection from UPS (excluding weekends).

Do UPS drop off points print labels? ›

A UPS Access Point assistant finds your business in the system, prints and attaches the label and provides the customer with a tracking receipt. *Available for eligible items. Discuss eligibility and integration options with your sales rep.

You cannot drop off boxes for delivery through UPS Access Point at a Post Office, but you can arrange this directly with the UPS courier if that's more convenient than using a drop off point.

If you want to pick up your package at a UPS Customer Center, your request must be received by 7 p.m. If you're unavailable when UPS attempts delivery at your address, UPS may deliver your package to a UPS Access Point^® location near your home, where your package will be held for you to pick up for 7 calendar days.

If you don't have a printer, you can: Scan and print by mobile barcode at a UPS location; or. Email the label to yourself (or a friend) to print later.
