MARY ELIZABETH POLITIS 1918-2011 RUMFORD Mary Elizabeth Politis, 92, of Kennebec Street, died Sunday, March 20, at Rumford Hospital, as a result of complications from pneumonia.

She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 5, 1918, a daughter of the late Prosper and Theresa (Linehan) Gionet. Mary was educated in Lewiston schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1936. She married Anthony F. Politis Sr.

in Lewiston on Nov. 11, 1944, and together they celebrated 47 years of marriage; he passed away on Aug. 9, 1992. After graduation, she was employed as a telephone operator for New England Phone Co. She then worked for many years as the manager at the St.

Athanasius School cafeteria and later at Rumford Answer Phone. Mary was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Mary was a caring and gentle person who loved her kids and grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed family get togethers, cooking great meals for the holidays, and spent many summers at her camp at Roxbury Pond. Surviving are her children, Anthony F.

DOUCETTE 1912-2011 AUBURN Felicien E. Doucette, 98, of Auburn, died on March 21, at Bolster Heights Nursing Home.

He was born in Lewiston, June 6, 1912, the son of Emery and Philomene Chatel Doucette. He was educated in Lewiston schools. He graduated from Robert's Business Academy in 1927, and Lewiston High School in 1931. Very athletic in his younger years, he was a member of the Lewiston High School and the Cyclones hockey championship teams of the 1930s. He was married to the former Gladys Morrill, who died in 1976.

He was in the jewelry business from 1929 to 1979. A member of the Sacred Heart Church THAYNE E. 1935 CHESTERVILLE Thayne E. Heath 75, of Chester- Choir for 24 years, he was one of the first 10 to start the credit union at Scared Heart Church, and was on the supervisory committee for two terms. Known for his singing voice, he appeared in many musicals, minstrels, and entertained senior citizens at nursing homes.

He was a member of Musical Literary Club and the Eagles for 26 years. Survivors include a son, Roger and wife, Joanne, of Auburn; a daughter, Constance Delano of Boston, nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. LILLIAN FROST GLAZIER 1919-2011 AUBURN Lillian Mathy Frost Glazier passed into peace on the first day of spring, March 20, at the Hospice House surrounded by her family. Lillian Glazier was born on March 26, 1919, in Columbus, Ohio, the third of six children to Jacob and Bertha Mathy.

Lillian grew up in Grandview, Ohio, was a graduate of Ohio State University, and while going to college, worked in the public library in Grandview. During World War II, she worked as the librarian for the USO in Atlantic City, where she met her first husband, James Glynn Frost of Eastport. Lillian married Glynn, at St. Matthew's Cathedral in Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 1944.

They first moved to Eastport after Glynn finished law school at Ohio State, and then settled in Gardiner. Glynn died in 1961. On Dec. 6, 1968, Lillian married Lucien "Skip" Glazier. Lillian worked for Gardiner office of the Red Cross, eight years as coordinator of the Maine State Head Start and also developed a state wide Dental Health Education Program.

After retiring from the state, Lillian spent many years living in Port Charlotte, in the winter and on Great Pond, Belgrade Lakes, in the summer. She so loved living on Great Pond, in a camp that Skip built. She spent several summers working at the Brass Knocker in Belgrade Lakes. She was a prolific reader and student of history. She loved writing poetry, researching genealogy and spending time with her family.

Lillian was an avid sports fan, closely following the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Ohio State Buckeye football team. One of her greatest joys was sitting with the Ohio State Marching band in the end zone during an Ohio State Football game in 2000. She is survived by her children, daughter, Judith Frost and her husband, Rick Speer, of Auburn; daughter, Marian Leso and her husband, Bob Leso, of Chesterville; son, John Frost and his partner, Mary Lewis, of Whitefield; daughter, Elizabeth Frost-Hawes and her husband, Joel Hawes, of Eliot: five grandchildren, Andrew Leso and his wife, Morgan Leso, of Farmington, John Leso of Chesterville, Kate Speer of Philadelphia, and Ethan and Rachel Hawes, of Eliot; two greatgrandchildren, Nolan and Jack Leso of Farmington; her stepson Peter's wife, Virginia Glazier; Virginia's daughter, Kim Glazier Donnelly; Kim's daughter, Kaitlind; and the many wonderful nieces and nephews of Lillian's brothers and sister. She was predeceased by her two husbands, James Glynn Frost and Lucien "Skip" Glazier; stepson, Peter Glazier; her parents and brothers Nicholas, Robert and George Mathy and sisters, Marie Mathy Menges and Loretta Mathy.
