The actor and comedian Katt Williams is known for speaking his mind, especially when it comes to controversy. In January this year, he practically broke the internet when he joined Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast, where he shared his thoughts on a bunch of celebrities — including Diddy and Kevin Hart.
Recently, Williams had the chance to comment on the situation, once his earlier warning about Diddy’s life being exposed had come true. He also admitted what his real intention was behind everything he said on the podcast.
Katt Williams Reveals He Wanted To End Kevin Hart And Other Artists’ Careers On Podcast
In January of this year, Katt Williams appeared on the Club Shay Shay podcast, sharing his thoughts on many celebrities like Kanye West, Taraji P. Henson, Jonathan Majors, and even Harvey Weinstein. However, with a lot of criticism and sincerity, two artists stood out the most — Kevin Hart and Diddy.
Right at the start of the conversation, the comedian explains why he was there with Shannon Sharpe, essentially confessing that it was to “settle the score,” since he had “watched all these lowbrow comedians come here, disrespect you to your face, and tell you straight-up lies.”

A lot has been said, but it was only recently that Williams had the chance to comment on everything he mentioned at the time, especially since it was before Diddy’s arrest.
He was at the Vulture Festival this month, being interviewed about his “Heaven on Earth” tour, as well as a range of topics from his career to politics. However, the main focus of the conversation was his appearance on the podcast, where the comedian revealed that his criticism could have been much harsher:
He also mentioned that because people know what he’s capable of, no one likes having him around. According to Williams, he’s always at events with bad intentions — “I’m there to tell. I’m there to see.”
What Katt Williams Said Exactly About Kevin Hart And Diddy?
The episode featuring Williams had already gone viral before it even finished airing on YouTube, which makes sense, as he himself has stated that whenever he gives an interview, it’s a must-see. However, amidst all the conversation, his criticism of several celebrities was the real focus.
The exposure of names has started to become more common in recent months, with people like Jaguar Wright gaining attention for their revelations. However, it seems that Williams also had a lot of insight into what was happening behind the scenes.
Regarding Hart, for example, he questioned the legitimacy of the actor and comedian’s success, pointing out that no one in the industry remembers a sold-out show, a line to see him, or him receiving a standing ovation — things that typically mark someone’s true success.

Williams also insinuated that Hart already had contracts lined up, and didn’t have to face the usual challenges that other comedians encounter to gain visibility. According to him, while people often claim that anyone can be successful and that there are no gatekeepers, the truth is there’s a network of people controlling who gets access to success.
The podcast also touched on how Williams himself was involved in projects that Hart ended up taking over. He explained that he was labeled the “bad guy” for setting boundaries on dialogue in films that he considered to be exaggerated stereotypes or that included unnecessary s*xual content. As a result, the work was handed over to Hart, who ended up doing everything as originally written.
About Diddy, Williams talked about getting “canceled” for speaking out about influential figures, saying that, for many, criticizing other black men, especially big names like the rapper and producer, just wasn’t acceptable.
Interestingly, he also predicted that 2024 would be the year when truths would be exposed, and that no one, regardless of their status or position, would be able to hide their lies and corrupt behavior. He stated that everyone would eventually be held accountable.
